First Day of School-2011

What a monumental school year for all of the Petersons!  This year Natalie starts her freshman year at John Bapst-with Field Hockey every evening and Seminary (hasn't started yet) every morning.  Natalie has already learned that H.S. means "havn't slept".   Caroline is going into 7th grade with Bald-Fat-Grumpy Mr. Merit for homeroom.  She is excited to have AR (Accelerated Reading) this year; and has already read a book a day so far.

Sam is now at Holbrook middle school.  Alto Sax is what he has chosen to play in the school band.   He has been demanding leg messages for his sore Cross-Country legs.  He loves his planner and his own bedroom.  Shh! don't tell the relatives, but we finally gave up the guest room so that Sam could have his own space.

Levi is the big brother this year at Holden elementary, and is planning friends to introduce Soren to on the playground.    Levi has been losing teeth, but gaining friends--mostly named "Jack".

Soren makes the big jump to Kindergarten and riding the bus.  But for Soren getting up early and  packing a backpack are old hat, as he has been doing just that for at least 2 years.  Now instead of waving the bus goodbye he's on that bus waving to Mom.  Dad is still Super Lawyer, making the world a better place one closing at a time.  Mom doesn't quite know what to do with her single, solitary, all-by-herself self.  Should I attack all the junk piles, wash windows, throw out toys, get my hair cut, makes cookies (and eat the whole batch myself), go shopping by my self, go for a run, peel wallpaper off the bathroom, get ready for Caroline's birthday, plan my RS lesson... there are many things on the list, and one thing I wanted to do for sure when school started was to blog more.  There are pictures for this post that will come as soon as I figure out how to upload them.
